Our History

Waternish is a family and employee-owned South Australian business with 20+ years of experience delivering water engineering solutions across Australia.

Family-owned and operated, South Australia-based Waternish was started by Lynn Fuller who began as a carpentry apprentice at the Engineering Water Supply (now SA Water).

After 30 years in the field, Lynn took his knowledge and experience and created Waternish, named after the family farm in Victor Harbor, South Australia. Interestingly, Waternish also roughly translates from German to mean ‘valley of river meadows’.

In the beginning, Waternish took on small jobs but did them well, being reliable, dependable and delivering high-quality outcomes.

When Lynn passed away in 2006, his nephew, Simon White, continued the legacy, providing exceptional service and quality workmanship, and growing Waternish to what it is today.

From two people two decades ago, the team has grown to almost 40 staff with a focus on delivering process and mechanical design and construction solutions from concept to completion, both in SA and interstate.
