Capabilities

Our experienced team and state-of-the-art equipment combine to make Waternish a professional organisation that partners with large utilities, councils and construction businesses to engineer innovative and effective water design and infrastructure solutions.

A dynamic and collaborative organisation based in Lonsdale, South Australia, Waternish works with large utilities such as SA Water, Icon Water, Greater Western Water, TasWater, regional councils and construction businesses across Australia to provide solutions for their customers.

The diverse skill base of our construction team and the training we have invested in means that we can provide appropriate trade skills and a range of high risk licences and tickets.

Safety is paramount in all aspects of our business. We understand that the safety in design input is as important as functionality, performance, environmental impact and cost. The tools used to identify risks are as varied as the projects and are implemented based on each project and its complexity resulting in solutions that consider the risks and hazards associated with the entire lifecycle of the asset.

By employing a multi-skilled workforce and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability, we can deliver a wide range of projects using in-house resources for the majority of all work. This enables us to maintain control of the schedule and provide value for money to our clients.

Waternish works at developing trusting and transparent relationships with its clients and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of all projects, and opportunities to continue to work together as new projects arise.

As individual projects or elements of a larger solution, and as permanent installations or skid mounted systems, Waternish has demonstrated experience and proven capability in design, construct and commission of the following:

  • Inlet screening, grit removal, and residual handling
  • Odour control
  • Sludge dewatering and handling
  • Chemical dosing and disinfection systems
  • Safe access solutions
  • Membrane deaeration
  • Water and wastewater process improvements and modifications
  • Collection and distribution pump stations
  • Recycled water systems

Underpinning our management of safety, quality, and environmental factors is our integrated management system, independently accredited to AS 4801, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 respectively. The management and ongoing improvement of this system to cater to the evolving needs of the business and the construction industry at large is managed with a full-time internal resource.
